What we keep, and what we do not

This is written for this app specifically. Every store named below exists because a feature needs it; if a feature is removed, its store goes with it. Where something is genuinely not yet settled, it says so rather than reserving a broad right just in case.

Using the app without an account

The asking canvas, the planner, growth table, triage tree, house view, the answer library, the rules pages and the supplier module all work signed out. Signed out we keep no profile about you. Your region, house type, breed and flock size live in your own browser and are sent to the server only for the duration of the question you asked.

Questions asked signed out are answered and discarded. They are not attached to an identity, not kept as history and not used to build a profile.

With an account

An account holds your email address, the sign-in method you chose, and a display name if you set one. If you sign in with Google we receive the email address and name Google releases; we do not receive your Google password and we ask for no access to anything else in your Google account.

Attached to that account, and only if you use the feature:

  • Saved farms — region, house type and size, breed, flock size and any prices you overrode. Kept until you delete the farm.
  • Tracked batches — placement date, weekly weights, deaths and feed used. Kept until you delete the batch.
  • Question history — the question, the answer and the flock context it was computed from. Free accounts keep the last ten; paid accounts keep them until deleted.
  • Price reports — what you paid or were paid, the region, an optional locality you typed, and the date. Kept until you delete the report.
  • Plan and usage counters — your tier and how many questions you asked today, because the free allowance has to be counted somewhere.

How pooled figures protect you

Two features publish figures built from many users, and both are protected by a minimum group size rather than by an assurance that we will be careful.

Reported prices appear only when a region and price type has at least three reports from at least two different reporters inside the last sixty days, and only a median and a range are published — never an individual report, a name, or a farm.

Regional benchmarks appear only when at least five tracked cycles sit in a group, and a group disappears again if it falls back below that. Your own cycles are shown against the pool only to you.

Who else processes it

Hosting and database. The app and its database run on managed cloud infrastructure provided through Lovable, which processes this data on our instruction in order to run the service.

The language model. Your question and the computed context around it — region, house, breed, flock size, the relevant reference extracts — are sent to a model provider to generate the written answer. Send nothing in a question that you would not want leaving this app.

Google, only if you choose Google sign-in.

Nobody else. We do not sell data, we do not share it with suppliers or integrators, we run no advertising network, and no feature here exists to be monetised through your information.

Cookies and measurement

There is no advertising or cross-site tracking, so there is no consent banner to click away. What is stored in your browser is the session that keeps you signed in, and your current flock context so the canvas is not blank when you come back. Clearing site data removes both and signs you out.

Deleting it

Reported prices, batches, saved farms and saved answers each have a delete control where they are shown, and deleting removes the row rather than hiding it.

For the whole account, use the private contact form and provide the address you signed up with. The account and everything attached to it is removed. Pooled medians and benchmark cohorts already computed cannot identify you, and prior answers you have shared or printed are outside our reach.

You may also ask for a copy of what is held about you, or for a correction, and where your local law gives you a stronger right than this page describes, that law wins.

Children and changes

This is a working tool for people running or buying from poultry operations. It is not designed for children and we do not knowingly hold accounts for them.

If what we store changes, this page changes with it, in the same plain terms and in the same place. It is the single description of what happens to your data; nothing narrower is hidden elsewhere.
